Betsabeé Romero lives and works in Mexico City. She elaborates a critical discourse on issues such as migration, cultural crossing and mobility, through the re-semanticizing of symbols and everyday rituals of global consumer culture, such as cars, tattoos, urban signage, etc.
Her work is collected by the British Museum Collection, the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, the Daros Collection, the Nelson & Atkins Museum, MOCA Los Angeles, World Bank Washington, Museo de Monterrey, among others.
