Constanza Piaggio (Buenos Aires, 1982) has been an artist since 2004, and has until now participated in a number of Art Fairs, individual and collective exhibitions around the world, including Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Colombia, the United States, Spain, France, Sweden, South Korea and China.
From her beginnings in Buenos Aires, inspired by Art History and cinema, the artist has been interested in mastering the analogical photography technique, specializing in large formats. This has been very important for her aesthetic and conceptual search, by allowing her to obtain the maximum control of light and details. Also, in the last few, years video art has become a very important and inseparable part of her language.
She won important prices like the First Prize Premio Argentino de Artes Visuales (2005), Fundación OSDE (2005), the Fellowship Rojas/ Buenos Aires University and the Fellowship of Telefónica Foundation (2006). She participated in the Residence Appelboom La Pommerie in France (2009) and the Gyeonggi Creation Center in South Korea (2011). In addition, she is part of public and private collections.
Since 2010 she lives in Paris, focusing on her international career.
